Secondary numbing gel is the anesthetic of many artists to keep clients comfortable during procedures. It works faster and better on open skin after the first pass. It can be used for brow, eye, lip, or areola procedures during treatment on open skin.
Description
The effect of the numbing gel is visible as the skin turns white around the area being numbed. This typically takes 2-4 minutes on the eyelids (without film) and up to 5 minutes on the brow and lip area (can be covered with film) after the initial pass.
Application:
There is no optimal time for leaving the numbing gel on, as sensitivity varies for each person. General guidelines:
3-5 min for non sensitive client's.
Up to 10 min in sensitive client's.
Last up to 40 min depending on the clients metabolism.
The effect occurs when the pigment appears and the skin turns white.
To ensure that the client is not allergic or sensitive to the ingredients, please create a patch test.
